Layers of earth
Our earth contains three different layers which are concentric in nature i.e. all have the same center. Earth's radius is 6371 km with weight 5.972 X 10^24. The density of the earth keeps on increasing as we go towards center and one of the obvious reason is very pressure.
CRUST
Crust is the outer layer of the earth which is mostly mad up of soil rocks and contains water. Crust ranges from 5-70km. The crust mostly contains the different types of rocks like igneous, basalt, silica etc.
MANTLE
Mantle is the inner layer to the earth and ranges up to 2890KM. Mantle is compost mostly of silicate and is mostly in molten form. Since these molten parts move due to earth's rotation and in case if find any obstacle the force gets distributed and causes earthquakes. Mantle is subdivided into lower and upper mantle. Upper mantle is after the crust and lower mantle is before the core.
CORE
Core is the innermost layer is again subdivided into outer core and inner core. Earth's magnetic field is due to core and core is mostly metallic.
